About Dr. Robert Bocknek

A practicing physician, best selling author, international lecturer, radio show host, husband and father of four teenagers in a blended family, Dr. Robert Bocknek is the problem solving expert for parents and families. He works with parents, families, dysfunctional families and blended families.

Dr. Robert Bocknek has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston University and is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, who has practiced for 23 years. During this tenure in private family practice and 19 years of parenting children, Dr. Robert Bocknek has found recurrent family and parenting issues which, if not resolved, lead to devastating family down swings — both mentally and physically. Dr. Bocknek discovered that by working with his patients on their family issues, this greatly reduced recovery time from their seemingly unrelated health challenges.

As “The Problem Solving Expert for Parents and Families,” Dr. Robert Bocknek’s research, expertise and message are timely:

  • The 2000 U.S. Census figures indicate that more than 60 percent of all American children are from divorced families.
  • According to the American Medical Association, 72 percent of American homes harbor someone with an addiction.
  • More than a quarter of today’s children will live in step-family situations, according to Child Trends, Washington, D.C.
  • One out of five children have a learning, emotional, or behavioral problem due to the family system changing according to the National Center for Health Statistics.

Dr. Robert Bocknek has spoken from McLean, Virginia to Taipei, Taiwan on health issues and solutions for family and parenting problems. His best selling book, “The World’s Best Kept Health Secret Revealed” sold over 30,000 copies. Dr. Robert Bocknek was co-host of the radio program “Health Matters” in Charleston, SC.

Dr. Robert Bocknek is in private practice in Charleston, SC. Dr. Robert Bocknek comes from a divorced family. He and his wife, Christine, have four teenagers in a blended family.

He is founder of the “Take Back the Home Project” at takebackthehome.com. The project’s mission is to educate and counsel parents, families, dysfunctional families, blended families providing parenting skills, parenting tips and parenting advice.

From teenage parenting problems and computer addiction problems to ways to reduce stress, Dr. Bocknek has developed easy to follow steps that can dramatically improve family life.

With the challenges today’s parents face, Dr. Robert Bocknek realized he needed to become a new type of leader and role model in his family if his family was going to make it. The parenting skills Dr. Robert learned and developed are successful in his family and in other families.

Soon after this discovery, Dr. Robert was asked by friends, patients and organizations to share his positive result-producing knowledge, expertise and systems for families.

Today, in addition to private practice, Dr. Robert Bocknek provides solutions to parents and families through his writing, speaking, seminars and consulting for individuals, groups and organizations on answers for:

  • Dysfunctional families problems
  • Teenage parenting problems
  • Single parenting problems
  • Parenting with love and logic
  • Computer addiction problems
  • Blended family issues
